Garrett Eucker hails from Bergen County, New Jersey, where he grew up singing in choirs and as a cantor at many churches from age 12. After eight years of singing at the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus as a boy soprano and performing in four principal roles, he fell in love with classical music and received a BFA in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University this past spring. Garrett is a founding member of a 5-voice ensemble, Ping, dedicated to performances of early and new music. They have collaborated with Chatham Baroque, opened for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Orion String Quartet, and appeared as resident artists at numerous music festivals. Recent roles include Cecco in Haydn’s “Il mondo della luna”, Linfea in Francesco Cavalli’s “La Calisto”.
