Help Lyrica Classic's mission in discovering new and unknown music and other performing art forms!

Receive valuable experience working with a nonprofit art organization producing live and virtual music productions.

We welcome volunteers located in the US and other countries (if the work can be done remotely). Some jobs require knowledge of US law or the presence of an individual in person in the DC metropolitan area. WHAT WE OFFER:

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer financial support to our volunteers. However, we offer a volunteer certificate confirming their work for a nonprofit organization, accompanied by a job title, upon completion of the set tasks within the minimum required working time. We can also provide you with a letter of recommendation for your paid job application.

Arts Administrative Assistant

Minimum commitment: 3 months

Requirements:
  • Part-time, in-person & remote
  • Flexible, ~5–10 hours/week
  • This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about the arts and cultural diplomacy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help coordinate artist logistics (travel, bios, schedules)
  • Assist with communications, email outreach, and documents
  • Support scheduling, production planning, and rehearsal tracking
  • Contribute to organizing marketing materials and festival records

Ideal For Someone Who:

  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and loves the arts
  • Communicates well and works independently
  • Wants hands-on experience with real productions
  • Enjoys working with an international team

Perks: Letters of recommendation, credit in festival materials, and a chance to work closely with artists and producers behind an international opera movement.

Music Lawyer

Minimum commitment: 3 months

Requirements:
  • Part-time, remote, ~2-3 hours per month;
  • This role is ideal for a law student, recent graduate, or practicing attorney

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on contracts with composers, artists, and venues
  • Help draft agreements for recordings, streaming, and broadcasting
  • Assist with copyright, royalties, and licensing questions (ASCAP/BMI/etc.)
  • Clarify rights when reworking existing compositions or commissioning new works

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has legal training in intellectual property and/or entertainment law
  • Understands copyright, music licensing, and contract basics
  • Communicates clearly and can provide concise written advice
  • Wants to support nonprofit artistic work and gain a unique experience

Videographer / Photographer 

Minimum commitment: one event

Requirements:
  • Location: Maryland / DC / NYC area (in-person + some remote)
  • Commitment: Minimum one event (~40 hours per project)

We’re looking for a volunteer videographer/photographer to document rehearsals, performances, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Requirements:

  • Available for at least one event (rehearsal + show)
  • Some experience with photo and video shooting/editing
  • Have your own professional equipment or access to it
  • Able to edit footage and deliver quality digital content

Perks: Credit in our production media, portfolio material, free access to performances, and the chance to be part of a meaningful international arts initiative.

Marketing Manager

Minimum commitment: 3 months

Requirements:
  • Part-time, remote, 2-3 hours per week
  • Education or experience in marketing or sales

Responsible for the company's marketing and communications strategies for our upcoming live and virtual productions in the DC area.

They will prepare monthly marketing plans, work on attracting more customers to the company's events, and raise brand awareness through the creation of targeted marketing campaigns. The manager will also analyze the types of customers a company wants to attract and determine ways to better serve the customers it already has. They also ensure that the company achieves a good return on any investment in marketing activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a marketing strategy for the organization and for new and existing products or services;
  • Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy;
  • Develop a brand strategy;
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns;
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborations;
  • Conduct market research studies;
  • Negotiate with media agencies and assist in ticket sales marketing;
  • Know or learn how to manage Google Ads.

Host Our Artists

Minimum commitment: 1 project

Requirements:

  • Location: Maryland / DC / NYC area
  • Commitment: Minimum one project (3–5 nights)

We’re looking for warm and welcoming individuals or families to host opera singers, musicians, or directors during their stay. Hosting is one of the most personal and impactful ways to support the arts.

What You Provide:

  • A private room (preferably with a bathroom)
  • Basic comforts (linens, towels, Wi-Fi)
  • Friendly atmosphere and flexibility

Upcoming Hosting Need

We are currently seeking host families for our upcoming production at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, MD.

  • Hosting dates needed: October 29 – November 23, 2025

We expect 8–10 international artists who need a warm place to stay during rehearsals and the performance weeks.
